Have you ever wondered what it feels like to walk in someone else’s shoes?
Welcome to Civic View, a human-centered data collection and research tool for experiencing local neighborhoods and communities.
Civic View aims to make emotional, qualitative data about public space accessible to policy makers, civic organizations, and the technology community. Best of all, this data is interoperable and machine-readable. We’ve even thrown in biometric data.
As a resident of New York City Public Housing, Anna worked with Civic View to document her perception of her neighborhood. Follow Anna along as she shows us what the Smith Housing Development in Lower Manhattan looks and feels like, using video, biometric data, and GPS tracking.
